4.1 Performance management
According to CIPD (2022a), performance management represent a process pursued to identify expectations of an organisation from their employee and conducting a review and getting a feedback on their performance against the set standards over specified time. Purpose Performance management purpose is supporting staff to meet their job roles and skills development (Tardi et al., 2023). Through this, an organisations gains through the clearly defined expectation, performance measurement in line with existing goals, feedback for areas of improvement noted. Any noted issue is addressed in speed with highly performing employees identified. Also, for Clean Quarter, regular performance management lead to employees being fairly treated hence high-level motivation and turnover reduced. Components of Performance Management Job Description– This represent a major factor of performance management offering an elaborate outline of main roles, goals and skills essential for a particular job function (Chron, 2021). This lead to an understanding of their expectations from their job roles from the start. For Clean Quarter, an appropriately crafted job description represent background of progressive informal and formal review and evaluating performance.
