Initial ability rating: 5 Justification for this rating: Working as a professional in people practice, for a substantial period of time, I have learnt on how to enhance a continuous learning culture in the workplace. The outcome of this has been achieved through my ability of ensuring there is no discrimination whatsoever or lack of inclusion of all stakeholders in active decision making in such an organisation in mental, emotional, physical and spiritual domains (Pererva et al., 2021). Considering my experience working in different organisations, development of collaboration in distinct context is critical for increasing diversification, creativity and innovativeness. This is with a mutual understanding initiated, mutual respect and being empathetic hence improving relations and communication. This similarly harness exchanging and adoption of expertise hence effective decision making with all problems solved. |
Development objectives | To improve my competence within this area I will:
a) Increasing my overall capacity of working in collaboration in different cultures and professional-based value b) Involving people from different culture, geographic and professional boundaries while appreciating their input c) To recognise that all people are important and that their input is essential for organisations success An example: Build my knowledge within the area of business ethics, with specific focus on how HRM professionals contribute to the development of cultures with high standards of ethics.

Achieving your development objectives: Opportunities and obstacles | As a best practice, the opportunities which I would leverage on to achieve these objectives would include;
a) In a period of 9 months, I intend to classify all the potential misunderstandings which affect my organisation interrelationships. This would harness achievement of 80% management of all common conflicts hindering my organisation successful operations being the most common barriers b) Within a period of 4 months, ensure the recruitment process is driven towards involving all people from different backgrounds c) In a timeline of 6 months, ensure that I engage teams in making core decisions of the organisation The success of achieving these objectives would be evaluated through; · A review of how I am able to classify the organisation teams · Being accommodative of people with bad behaviour and correcting them appropriately · Scoring highly in my organisation performance review
For the potential obstacles, they include; · Various dilemmas would emerge impacting identification of various situations · Lack of resources for supporting the cultural differences · Hard to understand people and their culture particularly when language differences are prevalent
