  My learning objectives for this period were I need to:

1. Gain knowledge of different versions of ethics, including origins and implications.

2. Develop a better understanding of the ethical challenges faced by organizations, and the implications of decisions.

3. Learn about clear set of principles for ethical decision-making and develop the ability to evaluate the ethical implications of decisions.

 
  My action plan 1. Developed a comprehensive anti-bribery and corruption policy that outlines the Almarai’s stance on bribery and corruption.

2. Reviewed corporate governance that includes checks and balances and internal oversight to ensure compliance with anti-bribery and corruption policies.

3. Suggested a fair competition policy to ensure that employees are competing on a level playing field.

4. Reviewed and ensured a transparent pay policy that is applied equally across all levels of the organization and ensure that all employees are paid a fair pay.

5. Checked effective speaking up mechanisms which encourage employees to report any incidents of bribery and corruption.

6. Ensured Almarai is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations regarding the treatment of employees and human rights.

7. Conducted regular internal audits to ensure compliance with anti-bribery and corruption policies.

 
   

2. Reflections on learning during this period

 
  What I learned I gained good knowledge about commitment to honesty, integrity, respect for others, and responsibility for actions. It also includes an understanding of the legal and ethical obligations of working in a professional setting. I also learned that ethical standards are important in order to maintain a healthy and safe workplace, as well as a productive and positive environment. I learned that ethical behaviour is not only important for the individual but also for the organization as a whole, as it helps to ensure a positive reputation and trustworthiness.  
  Evidence 1. Read a selection of books about ethical considerations in business contexts, such as “Human Resources And Ethics” by Bias, & Brown, “Managing business ethics: Straight talk about how to do it right” by Trevino, & Nelson. [February 2022]

2. Attended online tutorials on ethical considerations in business. Topics to explore include the importance of ethical conduct, the ethical implications of different business decisions, and how to lead with integrity and values. [February-April 2022]

3. Participated in Almarai meetings, discussion groups and forums about ethical considerations. Asked questions, share experiences, and seek out guidance from Head of HR. Looked for current ethical issues and participate in debates on these topics in HR. [April-June 2022]

 
  Conclusions In conclusion, my learning journey has enabled me to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of principles and values that promote inclusivity in organisations and ethical standpoints on people practice and the maintenance of high standards of ethical behaviour. Good practice in this area will create a safe and supportive environment in which everyone can reach fullest potential, while also making sure that Almarai upholds ethical standards. I now have the knowledge and skills to ensure that my organisation is maintaining a culture of inclusivity and ethical behaviour.

February 2022 – June 2022 Attended meetings and coaching mentoring sessions in Almarai to discuss ethical practices and ethical issues. To be aware of ethical issues and to understand the implications of any decisions you make. By being aware of ethical issues and understanding implications, I have learned that it help prevent ethical issues from arising and can help address them if they do arise. I will apply Ethics knowledge in the future to help ensure that any decisions made are ethical and in line with the Almarai’s expectations.
Read articles and books on high standards of ethics. To be clear about the expectations of Almarai, and to communicate the Almarai’s values. I know now that it is important to be open to hearing different perspectives and to consider the potential impact of any decisions made on the organization and its stakeholders. I will use high standards of ethical behaviour in the future by setting a good example for others.
Reviewed different standpoints on relevant ethical issues in online forums and discussion boards. To ensure fairness and respect are maintained in the workplace of Almarai. I learned more about the ethical principles and practices of Almarai, and I used knowledge of the values to help ensure that any decisions are made in accordance with those values. I will seek out and follow industry best practices and strive to make decisions that align with values.
